Harvard’s Institute of Politics’ fall 2025 report shows that trust varies by context: it exceeds half for study or work tasks, drops for tutoring, and falls sharply when we’re talking about health, personal life, or mental health support.
And it makes sense. Organizing notes is not the same as deciding on medication or going through an emotional crisis.
The key skill won’t be using AI for everything, but knowing when not to use it, what to verify, which data to protect, and who is accountable if it makes a mistake.
